From a young age, I’ve always been an avid outdoorsman. Growing up, I spent countless hours hunting and fishing with my dad, family, and soon-to-be father-in-law. Like most people, we did it simply because we enjoyed it. But as I've gotten older, my connection to the outdoors has grown into something deeper—a true passion that often inspires my Christian Outdoors Devotional.
My love for God and my family has only strengthened my appreciation for the natural world. There's something truly magical about watching the woods come alive at sunrise or witnessing the soft twinkle of light dancing on a mirror-like lake. In those moments, I see the presence of God in everything around me. After all, He created it all, and it reminds me of the Faith Lesson from the Outdoors.
My hope is to share this experience with the people I love, to let them witness some of the extraordinary sights I’ve had the privilege to see and feel the same awe and peace that nature brings. I also enjoy using Custom Fishing Lures that enhance our family outings, as Faith Runs Deep in our adventures together. I want to pass on the joy of exploring nature to my future generations, just like G Dad Outdoors has done for me.
Every day, my mind drifts to the many adventures I’ve had with family and friends—whether it was sitting around a campfire by the lake, deer hunting with family, fishing the Kenai River and Kasilof River in Alaska, or exploring the Churchill River in Canada. Some of my most cherished moments have been hunting quail with my grandson and friends, or simply sitting on the bank while camping and fishing with my grandkids, watching them catch whatever they can. My adventures may not be for everyone, but what I truly want to share is how precious every moment is—especially when we spend it with God and family, reflecting on the lessons learned in our Christian Outdoors Devotional. These experiences deepen our faith, reminding us that faith runs deep in all of us. Whether it’s using custom fishing lures or sharing a faith lesson from the outdoors, these moments with my grandkids truly matter, and they’re what make life so special.
