.When angler Tony Collum called me up, he had a simple ask — two baits, and one of them needed to carry a true carp scale pattern.
I told him straight… I’ll give it my best.
There was some learning in the process — dialing in the color, working the pattern, making sure it didn’t just look right… but moved right in the water.
At the end of the day, that’s what matters.
He took both baits to the lake…
and that carp-pattern jerkbait didn’t just swim — it produced.
Fish after fish.
That’s the difference between something that’s painted…
and something that’s built with purpose.
Painted in prayer… proven on the water
What an amazing day on the Snake River!
Grateful to see G-Dad Lures doing what they were built to do.
What started on the water became a bigger calling.
You won’t win every battle on the water.
But God uses every moment to shape us.
